Sadly, Doug Browne died in November 2008, Mott green died in June 2013 and Edmond Brown died in June 2024.

The heart and soul of TGCC are imprinted with the visionary spirit of Mott Green. His deep-rooted love for Grenada led him to establish the company in 1999, rooted in a childhood visit at 15 years old. Embracing alternative energy systems, Mott, alongside co-founders Doug Browne and Edmond Brown, embarked on a journey to not only create fine chocolate but also uplift Grenada economically, socially, and environmentally.

This partnership, akin to a tightly woven tapestry, is a testament to mutual support, ensuring the coveted organic certification of the cocoa beans.
At the heart of TGCC's artistry lies an array of delights: six distinct chocolate bar flavors, cocoa powder, butter, and a range of baking chocolate—all crafted with 100% organic ingredients. But beyond these delectable creations lies a deeper story.

At its core, The Grenada Chocolate Company’s story is a heartwarming testament to the power of cooperation, resilience, and a shared commitment to crafting not just chocolate but a better, more connected world.

Testimonials

We went to the Grenada Chocolate Company and were the only ones there at the factory. The factory was basically a house that was converted to do low volume chocolate. They actually create a 100% dark chocolate bar! Wow!

If you like chocolate, then Grenada is the place to be. One of the original chocolate factories is Grenada Chocolate Company in Hermitage. It’s small, quaint, but packs a punch rich in flavor and atmosphere.
